The first online jazz competition

Made in New York is the first online jazz competition with a goal to enable musicians from all over the world, regardless their geographical distance from New York, to show and prove their talent in front of top American musicians.

It is enough to post and register your video within one of seven categories and the decision about the winner will be made in November 2013. The winner will be chosen by eminent jazz musicians, drummer Lanny White, trumpeter Randy Brecker, and saxophonist Joe Lovano.

The winner of the competition will receive prize money and payed travel costs as well as accommodation in New York where he/she will perform within the main program of the Made In New York Jazz Festival with prominent jazz musicians.

One more interesting thing is that the artist with most votes will enter the finals as well. This is your chance to give your vote to some of the musicians who posted their works so far on the webpage www.madeinnyjazz.com.

For now not one single work has been posted from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Submitted works come from Austria, Serbia, Macedonia, Belarus, Croatia, France, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Russia, United States of America and Armenia.

At the moment in which this article is written, according to the audience votes, the first place is being held by Letečki pekinezeri from Macedonia, Vasil Hadžimanov Bend is second and Croatia’s vocalist Astrid, accompanied by pianist Matija Dedić, bassist Zvonimir Šestak and drummer Kruno Levačić are on the third place.
