Petra Haden at Jazz Fest Sarajevo!

American singer Petra Haden is one of the artists whose name is connected to various projects and significant artistic collaborations such as Tito & Tarantula, Iggy Pop, Paul Motion, Bill Frisell and John Zorn to musicians such as Foo Fighters, Green Day or Beck.

Petra Haden is the daughter of the legendary double bassist Charlie Haden who performed at the Jazz Fest with his Liberation Music Orchestra in 2005 and his daughter, excellent vocalist will perform at the Dom policije on November 2 together with her band, performing the still unpublished repertoire of John Zorn songs.

Known for her exceptional a cappella performances, this singer, even when performing the popular timeless hits of Prince or Michael Jackson, allows the audience to feel the new life she gave to these songs brought by her performance. Petra Haden has been recording since 1994 and her discography has 70 albums.

With her sisters, Rachel and Tanya, she is a member of the Haden Triplets, and her collaboration with composer and guitarist Jesse Harris, a member of the ensemble with whom she will perform at XX2nd Jazz Fest, has resulted in the album Seemed Like A Good Idea.

The guitarist Julian Lage, bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Kenny Wollesen also will perform in the Petra Haden band.
