Bosnian musicians are closing XX2nd Jazz Fest

Continuing the tradition of the Next Generation festival program, which has been presenting B&H artists and their current projects at Jazz Fest Sarajevo for many years, this year’s XX2nd Jazz Fest Sarajevo will present the special program Dosterrados with various B&H musicians.

A total of 11 musicians from Bosnia and Herzegovina, with guests from Serbia and Israel, will have a performance to close this edition of the festival at the Festival Center in Dom Policije venue on Sunday, November 4.

A program called Dosterrados – translated from Ladino: a person with two countries, is the term coined by the Sarajevo rabbi Eliezer Papo for this special program of the festival, and all the musicians will perform the repertoire of the Sephardic songs, with the premier meeting of flamenco and sufi traditions on the Jazz Fest scene.

The guitarist Mirza Redžepagić and bass player Daniel More will open this concert, which will be continued with the performance of Barimatanga – vocalist Jelena Milušić and multi-instrumentalist Atila Aksoj will be joined by bass player Edvin Hadžić.

This  two-hour concert will also feature La Korona, vocal ensemble consisting of Tijana Vignjević, Anida Isanović, Adelita Kadić, Dunja Kazić, Ajla Smajlović, Vanesa Poturović and Darja Softić-Kadenić, while this special program of the festival will be concluded with a trio in which Mirza Redžepagić and Daniel More will perform alongside vocalist and musician Almedin Varošanin.

More than five Bosnian musicians will participate in a concert for children that will be held for the youngest visitors of the festival on Sunday, November 4 at 12.00, as well as in the Heineken Late Nite Stage festival program.

Tickets for the Dosterrados program at a price of 15 KM will available as of today via kupikartu.ba.
