Tomorrow, on 27th of April, the great jazz trade fair jazzahead! begins, which will make Bremen a world music center for the twelfth year in a row.
Dozens of bands from all over the world will present their projects within the various programs (European Jazz Meeting, German Jazz Expo, Overseas Night) during three nights and two days, and a special program is organized by Finland, this year’s partner country of jazzahead!, which will present gala concerts by pianist Iiro Rantal together with the German Chamber Philharmonic.
jazzahead! trade fair is the culmination of the festival of the same name, which began on April 15th, and will present more than 130 concerts by the end of the month. Only on April 29th, more than 40 locations – museums, churches, hotels, and bars in Bremen will be converted into concert venues, and around 700 exhibitors, nearly 3.000 professionals from 50 countries and more than 12.000 visitors will be attending the fair for three days.
During the fair, the Finnish jazz festival Tampere Jazz Happening will be awarded the Europe Jazz Network Award for Adventurous Programming.
Jazz Fest Sarajevo traditionally participating as one of the co-exhibitors at jazzahead!, this year will promote the program of its 21st edition.
