On Saturday 8 concerts at Jazz Fest

The fourth day concert program of the 20th Jazz Fest, begins at Gradska vijećnica with concerts by two sold out duets, Tijana Vignjević and Belma Alić and the one of Miroslav Tadić and Merima Ključo, followed by performances of two trios at Pozorište mladih.

French chellist Vincent Courtois, British bassist John Greaves and American drummer Mark Nauseef are going to perform in this formation for the first time. The concert of these great musicians with prolific careers spanning multiple decades begins at 18.00 and will be followed, after a short intermission, by the concert of Dutch-German-Belgian trio Oliver’s Cinema, the ensemble of trumpeter Eric Vloeimans.

At Bosanski kulturni centar at 21.00, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Jazz Fest has prepared four concerts: Bojan Zulfikarpašić will present two duets, with trombonist Nils Wogram (at 21.00) and saxophonist Julien Laourau (at 21.40), followed by a world premiere of a repertoire British composer and pianist Django Bates created especially in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Festival, with his 10-member ensemble humanChain (at 22.35). Saturday night will be closed by the Norwegian-Italian group of guitarist Terje Rypdal with a special guest, Danish trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg.

At Club Monument at 23.00, begins the concert program of BH musicians and their regional guests, followed by a jam session of Music Meeting participants, Jazz Fest’s  guests and everyone else willing to join them on stage.
