Film score by Trevor Dunn

American bassist and composer Trevor Dunn has written music for Peter Bolte‘s film Walden Pink, which had it’s premier showing last week at the Victoria Film Festval.

Beside Dunn’s original compositions, this short movie about existential fear and the inability to find inner peace also features music by American singer and songwriter Willie Nelson.

Walden Pink is Peter Bolte’s sixth short movie Dunn wrote music for. He composed scores for more then 10 movies since 2003, among others for the feature length drama An American in Texas that will premier this year too.

Peter Dunn is a versatile musician prone to blending genres and nurturing freedom in music, for whom heavy metal, jazz or classic represent music “he’ll simply do with whatever he pleases”. He is a member of Mr. Bungle, Fantômas and Tomhawk and leader of his own jazz/rock avant-garde ensemble Trevor Dunn’s Trio-Convulsant. He  has recorded more then 80 releases as a collaborator or band leader, who collaborates with musicians like Mike Patton, Tom Waits or John Zorn.
