Today at Jazz Fest: Al Di Meola

At Bosanski kulturni centar at 20.30 within the program of 19th Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2015, American guitarist Al Di Meola is going to perform in a trio with Italian guitarist Peo Alfonsi and Hungarian drummer Peter Kaszas an acoustic version of the repertoire of his latest album Elysium, as well as compositions from his previous albums.

On the Late Nite Stage at club Monument at 22.00 the club program of this year’s festival will continue. Bosnian and Herzegovinian musicians, guitarist Dino Šukalo, pianist Adis Sirbubalo, bassist Edvin Hadžić and drummer Amar Češljar will be joined on stage by guest soloists, Macedonian saxophonist and trumpeter, Kiril Kuzmanov and Trajče Velkov.

Tickets for the concert of Al Di Meola were sold out two weeks ago, however tickets for the two upcoming double bill nights can still be purchased at the box office at Bosanski kulturni centar enabling Jazz Fest visitors to enjoy two concerts in one night – on Friday the performances of Arve Henriksen and Christian Fennesz followed by the concert of the ensemble of Polish trumpeter Tomast Stanko, and on Saturday the quartet of Vladimir Kostadinović followed by Kurt Elling and his ensemble, introducing his latest album Passion World.

Tickets for the closing concert of Edgar Tones & The Su’sis with Big Band on Sunday 08 November are also still available. Jazz Fest’s box office is located at BKC and open every day from 12.00 to 22.00.
