For the new release Cecile also recorded Growlin’ Dan by Blanche Calloway, the older sister of Cab Calloway who used to be the first woman to lead a completely male orchestra.

Next week, on 09 June Cecile McLorin Salvant will be performing in Paris at the famous Olympia Hall together with pianist Jacky Terrasson who played a solo concert at 11th Jazz Fest Sarajevo in 2007.
