Due to great audience interest for the concert of pianist Bojan Z on 2 November at the Youth Theater, Jazz Fest decided to organize the performance of this French artist of Bosnian heritage at the Bosnian Cultural Center.
During the last three weeks, through our online form more tickets then expected were booked for the Bojan Z concert. Because of a small seat capacity of the Youth Theater, we decided to organize the concert at BKC so that everybody interested could get the chance to enjoy the performance of this great artist.
Bojan will play the repertoire of his latest solo album Soul Shelter released this year. As a special guest, Amira Medunjanin will join him on stage of the Bosnian Cultural Center. As a duo they will perform few tracks from their joint 2011 album Amulette, recorded as a result of a collaboration that premiered at the music happening Xenophonia 2009 initiated by the Jazz Fest.
Bojan Zulfikarpašić is the most successful jazz musician from our region. He was pronounced French artist of the year 2012, which is just one in a row of great appreciations Bojan Z got, without including the European award for artist of the year and the Order of Arts and Letters given by the French government.
