43rd Jazz Festival in Barcelona

International jazz festival Voll-Damm Barcelona, which takes place in the capital of Catalonia for 43rd time, will last for entire forty days – from 20th October to 1st December. The festival will present over 60 concerts, with many artists – well-established and young talents from around the world.

Pat Metheny, Larry Grenadier and Bill Stewart will perform at the festival among others as well as Dave Holland and Pepe Habichuela, Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Tigran Hamasyan Trio, Buena Vista Social Club and Omara Portuondo, Paolo Conte, and many other renowned artists from the world of jazz, contemporary and experimental art, electronic and world music.

The festival will also exclusively dedicate seven days, from 7th-14th November, to Italian jazz musicians, and some of who will demonstrate their proficiency are Flavio Danilo and Rea Boltro, Gabriele Mirabassi Trio, Omar Sosa and Paolo Fresu, Giovanni Guidi and Gianluca Petrella, Enrico Rava Tribe, and Stefano Bollani.

With this large and important festival, Barcelona once again shows that it is definitely one of those places in the world where jazz is very much alive.
