Lisbon Underground Music Ensemble, a 15 piece ensemble of classical and jazz musicians founded and led by composer and pianist Marco Barroso, is transforming the legacy of big bands by freeing it from conventional patterns and opening up new aesthetic horizons. Its music is a specific sort of kaleidoscope, vivid and energetic, music equivalent of a roller coaster ride in an amusement park. This year’s Jazz Fest closing concert was originally planned in the program of the 2021 edition of the Jazz Fest Sarajevo.
