Two concerts will be played tonight within 17th Jazz Fest.
At 8PM the ensemble Uberjam Band by American guitarist John Scofield is going to perform at the Bosnian Cultural Centre.
This will be Scofield’s third performance at the Jazz Fest, but his first with this ensemble with whom he recorded their long awaited second album Uberjam Deux.
The album became number one on the iTunes top list right after release and numerous concerts throughout USA and Europe confirm how well received it was by the audience.
This album is their third album that followed after Uberjam, released in 2002 and nominated for a Grammy and their 2003 album Up All NIght. Music critics called Uberjam Band a jam session sound adventure where brilliant groove meets with funk and energised rhythms but also with sophisticated soul and blues lines.
At 10PM the quintet of trumpeter Miron Rafajlović will be playing at club Monument, followed by a jam session of Music Meeting participants and local artists.
Tickets for all festival concerts can be bought at the box office at the Bosnian Cultural Centre from 12PM till 10PM.
