Brazilian virtuoso at the Jazz Fest

This year’s Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2013 as part of its program will present on the 7th of November at the Youth Theatre, Hamilton de Holanda, virtuosic musicians of bandolim, a traditional Brazilian 10-wire instrument similar to the mandolin.

On this unusual instrument, De Holanda makes beautiful music and demonstrates superior music-playing technique, while remaining faithful to the tradition of the music of Brazil, with a touch of jazz, pop or any other music that he perfectly incorporates into own unique musical expression.

“Music should just be beautiful, and it is needless to place in a certain genre boxes that want to it demystify by force,” said the Brazilian artist whom the French media called “Prince”, a Brazilian “King of bandolim.”

He has performed around the world, sharing the stage with musicians such as Richard Bona and Bela Fleck, and recording with Richard Galliano, Joao Bosco and Cesaria Evora.

Nominated multiple times for the Latin Grammy this year for the category of the best instrumental album that he released this spring with his trio.

Tickets price for Hamilton de Holanda in pre-sale is 12 KM and till Friday all tickets for all festival concerts can be booked at link “tickets”.
