Jazz Fest Sarajevo has added two special programs at XX1st Jazz Fest Sarajevo this year which will be held from October 31 to November 5.
The main festival program of 20 concerts at 6 different locations was announced in June and two additional concerts are scheduled for Sunday, November 5 will close the circle of the XX1 music odyssey on which Jazz Fest Sarajevo is taking its audience.
The first concert is of the Axiom ensemble, fronted by Dejan Terzić born in Banja Luka. This drummer and composer who lives and works between Germany and Switzerland will present his ensemble at Jazz Fest. The ensemble also includes the American saxophone player Chris Speed, British bassist Phil Donkin and pianist Bojan Zulfikarpašić. The quartet of top artists will be playing concert repertoire from the current Prometheus album recorded in New York last year.
The second concert, which will wrap up this year’s edition of jazz festival, will feature the appearance of the 40-member Chamber Choir of the Music Academy in East Sarajevo. The choir cantor is maestro Rade Radović, and the repertoire will include Orthodox spiritual music.
Both concerts will be organized in Dom policije venue, and the tickets are available for both concerts staring from today. Due to the additional concerts announced, early bird tickets sale is extended until August 10. Tickets can be purchased on this link.
