The twentieth anniversary of the international music festival Jazz Fest Sarajevo will be held from 2 to 6 November and celebrated with a rich and attractive program, made particularly special by the Sarajevo marathon, which will gather 25 musicians from New York’s downtown scene, led by American composer John Zorn.
The occasion was marked by BH Post with a release of a limited edition postage stamp with John Zorn’ s face and artwork, with a nominal value of 0,90 KM, for use in national postal traffic.
The stamp was designed by Goran Lizdek, who used John Zorn’s photo as well as drawings and score by the American composer, saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and producer.
John Zorn’s Bagatelles Marathon Sarajevo will take place on 4 November and present the European premiere of compositions from The Bagatelles collection, written between March and May 2015.
The 20th anniversary of the international music festival Jazz Fest Sarajevo will be marked by one more postal stamp, to be released by BH Post in September.
