The dynamic six of the Quarter to Africa band have released a new single, the fifth from a new album to be released next year, and they will perform repertoire from it at Sarajevo concert that will close the main program of the XX3rd Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2019 festival.
“The Yeshuato song was created during our musical journey through southern India in 2014. At Hampi, UNESCO world heritage site, we recorded the first video, which is actually a jam session” – the band members say.
This song later became part of the concert repertoire and in 2016; a concert version was recorded with double bassist Avishai Cohen, a famous artist whose trio we listened to at Jazz Fest Sarajevo in 2014.
After numerous live versions, Yeshuato was finally recorded in the studio, and on November 9, and it will have its premier in Sarajevo as Quarter to Africa will perform it at a concert at the Sarajevo War Theater. Tickets for the concert are available on kupikartu.ba.
