The annual music event jazzahead! – one of the most important gatherings of professionals from the international jazz scene, is taking place eleventh year in a row in Bremen, Germany.
Last year’s jazzahead! presented 700 exhibitors and gathered more than 2.700 professionals from the international jazz scene, including a multitude of concert programs performed by music scene’s well known names and its rising artists.
This year’s trade fair event will be held from 21 to 24 April, with numerous different showcases presenting 40 bands within the three days. Events connected with the jazzahead! festival in Bremen started at the beginning of the month, among them were numerous exhibitions, concerts, theater performances and film screenings, while on Saturday night, 68 bands will be performing concerts on 34 locations in Bremen.
This year’s jazzahead! partner country is Switzerland, after France, Denmark, Israel, Spain and Turkey who presented the cultural and music scene of their countries in previous years. This year, Canada and Denmark will make an extra contribution to promotion of music from their countries with a special program.
Jazz Fest Sarajevo is continuing its traditional participation at jazzahaed! as a co-exihibitor promoting this year’s festival edition and as a participant of the European Jazz Meeting.
