The new album of Japanese pianist and composer Hiromi Uehara named Spark will be released by Concord Records for the international market on 01 April 2016.
Hiromi, whose sound is characterized by genre crossing of post-bop, progressive rock and classic music, has recorded the new album with her trio, with bassist Anthony Jackson and drummer Simon Philips, with whom she also recorded her albums Voice, Move and Alive over the course of past six years.
Spark is the virtuous Japanese pianist’s 10th album that will be released 13 years after her debut Another Mind.
