Jazz diva Dianne Reeves won the fifth Grammy award in her career, this time in the category Best Vocal Jazz Album for her latest release Beautiful Life.
Reeves recorded 20 albums so far, after a five year recording break she released Beautiful Life with which she introduced herself at a sold out concert held within 18th Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2014. Last year’s Jazz Fest was opened by Gregory Porter, that year’s Grammy award winner in the category Best Vocal Jazz Album.
Dianne Reeves is one of the most important contemporary vocalists, she performed in Bosnia and Hercegovina for the first time in 2008 when she opened the 12th edition of Jazz Fest Sarajevo. This vocalist is so far the only artist who received a Grammy award for four albums in a row: In The Moment (2001), The Calling: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan (2002), A Little Moonlight (2004), Good Night, and Good Luck (2006). This year the row was extended with the album Beautiful Life.
