18th Jazz Fest is ending today

It’s the last day of this year’s musical odyssey on which Jazz Fest has been taking it’s audience 18th time in a row.

Sunday at the festival is traditionally dedicated to the youngest. A concert for kids of school and preschool age will take place at 12.00 at the Bosnian Cultural Center, followed by a workshop at 13.00 in the same venue.

Concert repertoire will consist of jazz standards specially arranged to be suitable for ages between 3 and 14 after which the kids will get the chance to try out various instruments at the workshop. Ticket prize for the Kid’s Concert is 5,00 KM while the entrance to the workshop is free of charge and comes with free chocolate and juice provided for everybody, like always in the past 15 years since Jazz Fest has been organizing programs for it’s youngest audience members.

Later that same night, at 20.00, the stage of BKC will be approached by the eight man ensemble of French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf. Audiences form Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region are over excited about this performance, the show was sold out before festival beginning.

If we are to make a conclusion based on all previously held concerts at this year’s Jazz Fest, the audience can expect an exciting night.
