Gregory Porter is the best male vocalist of 2013 according to American Jazz Times critics poll.
The prominent music magazine annually announces two best lists in 36 categories by beginning of the year, one put together by readers and one by music critics.
In the category Best Male Vocalist Porter was voted first before Kurt Elling, Andy Bey and Theo Bleckmann.
This is the second award for Porter this year after he won a Grammy for his album Liquid Spirit in the category Best Vocal Jazz Album at the beginning of January.
