Third year in a row International Jazz Day will be celebrated on 30th April in more then 140 countries all around the world.
This year’s central event will be hosted by the city of Osaka in Japan with numerous educational activities during the day and the open air gala concert at Osaka Castle. The concert will be live broadcasted on UNESCO and Thelonious Monk Institute web sites.
International Jazz Day was inaugurated in 2012 on the initiative of UNESCO goodwill ambassador Herbie Hancock in cooperation with the Thelonious Monk Jazz Institute.
