On Friday 08 November at the 17th international music festival Jazz Fest Sarajevo, three concert will be played.
The performance of a trio of american guitarist David Gilmore, planed to take place at the Youth Theater, will be held at the Bosnian Cultural Center due to big interest for this concert, at 19.00 as planed. Beside Gilmore, the Art of Ascension Trio consists of bassist Matt Garrison and drummer Gene Lake.
Gilmore is a multiinstrumentalist, a musician who plays the piano, drums and percussion beside the guitar. He developed unique style and virtuous playing and has collaborated with important names like Dave Douglas, Cassandra Wilson and Wayne Shorter.
Same night, also at the BKC, at 21.00 Jazz Fest will present a quartet of one of most wanted Norwegian musicians – guitarist Eivind Aarset. This artist performed in previous years at the Jazz Fest as a member of Dhafer Youssef’s ensemble. This year he is introducing his own Dream Logic project. The Norwegian music scene is one of the most versatile in Europe making every concerts of or with Norwegian musicians a unique aesthetic experience.
At club Monument the Miron Rafajlović Quintet will be playing with a special guest, American singer Vedra Chandler. The concert starts at 23.00 with a jam session to follow.
Tickets for all festival programs can be bought at the box office at BKC from 12.00 to 22.00.
