Due to the great interest, concert of D. Gilmore at BKC!

On 8th of November the trio of the American guitarist David Gilmore will perform at the 17th Jazz Fest.

Although originally planned for the Youth Theatre, tickets for the concert were sold out before the opening of the festival box office, and the concert  will be held in the venue of the Bosnian Cultural Center.

“Given that the venue of the Youth Theatre is obviously too small for all those who want to listen to Art of Ascension trio of Gilmore, bassist Matt Garrison and drummer Gene Lake , we decided to move this concert in the venue of BKC which is much larger ,” says Đana Karavdić from the Directorate of the Jazz Fest.

Thus on the 8th of November at BKC at 19.00 the Art of Ascension Trio will perform, and at 20.00 Eivind Aarset Quartet.

Gilmore is a multi-instrumentalist, musician who plays piano, drums and percussion, and guitar – an instrument that he started playing when he was 15. He developed his distinctive style and virtuosic playing skill and he has worked with some of the important names – Dave Douglas, Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Wayne Shorter, Don Byron, Christian McBride, and he is also active in the music world that borders on pop, and has left his mark on more than 50 recordings.
