Tomorrow night in Oslo begins the European tour of jazz greats, American drummer Jack DeJohnette and his ensemble, whose special guest is the multi-instrumentalist Don Byron.
This European tour will include 15 concerts in Norway, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Austria and on 7th of November ensemble will perform in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo at Bosnian cultural center on this year’s 17th Jazz Fest.
In Jack DeJohnette’s music Sarajevo audience enjoyed the first and only time in 2005 also during the Jazz Fest, when he performed with his quartet, which consisted of double bassist John Patitucci, guitarist Jerome Harris and pianist Danilo Perez. After eight years this artist – one of the greatest jazz musicians of our time – is performing with a new ensemble consisting of musicians also of superior format – Jerome Harris, then pianist George Colligan and clarinetist and saxophonist Don Byron.
