Brilliant Brazilian composer, guitarist, singer and songwriter João Bosco celebrated last year four decades of an exceptional career with a CD/DVD release 40 Anos Depois – João Bosco.
A 16 composition collection from his standard repertoire was released for the Brazilian market, whereas the international edition will be released on 15 April.
The album was recorded with guitarist, singer and songwriter Milton Nascimento, guitarist and singer Chico Buarque, pianist João Donato and guitarist Toninho Horta, musicians and João Bosco peers who played a big role in the foundation and popularization of the post-Bossa Nova music trend.
The music of João Bosco is characteristic for it’s fusion of Arab culture, Afro-American music and Brazilian bossa nova styles with American jazz.
Sarajevo’s audience had the chance to listen to him in 2006 at the 10th edition of Jazz Fest when he performed with the group of pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
