Norwegian pianist, composer and producer Bugge Wesseltoft and German producer Henrik Schwarz are going to introduce their joint project, Wesseltoft Schwarz Ensemble.
World premiere will be held tonight in Oslo, at Victoria – Nasjonal Jazzscene. The ensemble consists of Swedish bassist Dan Berglund, member of former Esbjörn Svensson Trio and Austrian hangdrum specialist Manu Delago.
Schwarz and Wesseltoft’s cooperation started in 2009, their first recorded material was called First Track and represents an ode to spontaneity that will reach it’s peak at their first joint album, the 2011 Wesseltoft Schwarz Duo.
Jazz Fest’s audience had the chance to listen to Bugge Wesseltoft in 2007, at the 11th edition of the festival when he played a solo concert and performed as a member of Jazzland Community and Mungolian Jet Set.
