Joëlle’s music is extremely powerful and extremely difficult to describe, being by its very nature beyond definition.
Her solo concerts sound like a combination of music, poetry and theatre, but the thing that fascinates is the ease with which she performs bravuras which leave us in disbelief and which make us hold our breath. The outstanding improvisations reveal the unsuspected possibilities of the double bass.
