1970 Miles Davis performances released

Four concerts by American trumpeter Miles Davis held in New York in 1970 have been released as a 4 CD set named Miles at the Fillmore: Miles Davis 1970 – The Bootleg Series Vol. 3.

Every of the four CD’s contains performances form 17 to 20 June at the famous Fillmore venue. The recordings will be released for the first time without any editing and with bonus material – 36 page booklet written by producers of this release who give concise insight into Miles’ so called Fillmore period as well as the project itself and reflections on the 1971 edited release of this performance. The set also includes three previously never released compositions.

Davis’ concerts were played two months after the release of his Bitches Brew album when his band was consisting of pianists Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett, double bassist Dave Holland, drummer Jack DeJohnette, drummer and percussionist Airto Moreira and saxophonist Steve Grossman.
