Long-awaited album released – Überjam Deux

A new album of Überjam, ensemble of American guitarist John Scofield, was released on 2 July after a ten years recording brake. The album rose to number one of US iTunes list the day after.

This is their long-awaited third CD release after the first album Überjam (2002) that got a Grammy nomination and their 2003 release Up All Night.

This year the ensemble was gathered again consisting of the original cast, Scofield, guitarist Avi Bortnick and drummer Adam Deitch, joined by bassist Andy Hess who also collaborated on the making of Up All Night.

Guest musicians on the album are John Medeski who plays piano, Wurlitzer or Mellotron on six compositions and drummer Luis Cato who joined the band on four compositions.

John Scofield is currently on US promo tour with Überjam, but during fall he is going to promote his latest album at festivals and in concert halls throughout Europe.
