Portuguese singer Cristina Branco is at the moment working on a new album that will be released in spring this year, under the name Alegria.
This album will consist of 12 songs, each dedicated to one unnamed person and his/her real life story. The songs represent raw, ironic and honest portraits of man and woman we meet every day on the street, behind the corner or while we travel.
This album will be Cristina’s 14th release. She is recording it with Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar), Bernardo Moreira (double bass), Carlos Manuel Proença (guitar) and Ricardo Dias (piano and accordion), with whom she also recorded her previous album Fado Tango.
Among collaborators on the new record are some of most important contemporary Portuguese artists: Manuela de Freitas, Miguel Farias, Júlio Pomar, Pedro Silva Martins, Mário Laginha and João Paulo Esteves da Silva.
The Bosnian and Herzegovinian audience listened to Cristina Branco in September 2011 when the agency Gramofon from Sarajevo presented her concert and she introduced her above mentioned album Fado Tango.
