A live album by the Medeski Martin & Wood trio called Free Magic will be released this month.
The album consists of a recorded concert held on their 2007 tour, it will be released by the trio’s own record label Indirecto Records on 25 September.
Three fearless improvisers: keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Billy Martin continue exploring telepathic connections and deep groove sensibilities that define the trio since their inception.
Within more then 20 years of existence, the trio performed around the world at the most important festival and concert stages, and released 18 important albums. Judged by opinions of music critics who already heard Free Magic, the new release won’t be less different.
