On Wednesday 2nd of November, the second day of 15th Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2011 at the scene of the Bosnian Cultural Centre two exceptional programs will be held.
At 20.00 the British double bassist Dave Holland and Spanish guitarist Pepe Habichuela will present their current project Hands. It is about two musicians who are rightly called the true giants of today’s music scene. Holland is a triple Grammy Award winner, who has in the past 50 years shared the stage with the biggest names in jazz like Miles Davis, Sten Getz, Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, while Habichuela is one of the most influential flamenco representatives today.
During the same evening at 22:15 at the Bosnian Cultural Center we will have performances that are bursting with energy which is a fusion of elements of jazz, blues and rock. Super Trio makes the iconic musicians about who we can talk only in superlatives: guitarist Scott Henderson, bassist Jeff Berlin and drummer Dennis Chambers are the heroes of many young musicians and their rich careers are the result of exceptional talent.
This trio brings furious tempi and superb technique in which the music is an excellent way of combining different musical styles, creating a new high powered music.
Tickets for this and other concerts of Jazz Fest can be purchased at the box office at BKC, every day, 12:00 to 22:00.
