Tonight at 20.00 a concert of bassist and vocalist Richard Bone at the scene of the Bosnian Cultural Centre will open the 15th Jazz Fest Sarajevo 2011.
This extraordinary musician and captivating singer is one of the most respected bassists of our time. He is the artist who came a long way from a small village in eastern Cameroon to Grammy nominations and major concert stages around the world, sharing them with musical greats like Salif Keite, Didier Lockwood, Mike Stern, Pat Metheny and Joe Zawinul.
First day of the 15th Jazz Fest on the scene of BKC after Richard Bone, we will present the famous The Rosenberg Trio.
This ensemble has become synonym for jazz manouche or gypsy jazz. With their skills and inspired interpretations, The Rosenberg Trio continues the tradition of special jazz techniques, with Roma temperament and irresistible swing, which was founded by the famous Django Reinhardt.
This year’s Jazz Fest, as a kind of holiday of art music in Sarajevo will last up till 6th of November and during the festival we will present a program that offers an overview of the current music scene today.
